Piet Fourie and Ganam Adventures invites one hunter to Tanzania for a 10-day 1x1 guided Maasai species hunt in the world-famous Lake Natron area, encompassing 460,000 acres of vast terrain ranging from semi-desert thorn brush to rain forest, all at the top of Gilai Mountain. Game to be hunted includes lesser kudu, gerenuk, Chantler's mountain reedbuck, fringe-eared oryx, Grant's/Thompson's gazelle and more. Trophy fees are at winner's cost; see outfitter for details. Method of take is rifle or bow. This hunt is available January-March or July-November 2022 and possibly for the same period in 2023 (depending on reallocation). Hunt may be upgraded to include leopard and buffalo at current price list. Additional hunters are welcome at current rates; non-hunters are welcome at $650/day. Transportation during the hunt is mostly by vehicle with hunting done by spot & stalk. This package includes field prep, guide service, transportation to local shipper, dipping & packing, hunting license, 5-star safari-style tented accommodations, and locally sourced cuisine. Not included are international airfare, transportation from Kilimanjaro International Airport to camp by Cessna 208 Caravan at $4,600 or ground transportation by luxury vehicle at $2,000, accommodations in Arusha at $580 (full-board before hunt) and $250 (day rate after hunt), trophy fees for animals hunted or wounded, trip insurance and gratuities.
