Original oil on canvas by wildlife artist, Jacob Corrie - measures 40x30" and comes in a custom frame. Per Corrie - "The cheetah was the very first animal I was truly drawn to as a kid. There was something about them that captured my imagination from the beginning...their speed, elegance, intensity and the way they seem to carry both power and fragility at the same time. Even before I ever painted wildlife, the cheetah represented adventure, movement, and the wild beauty of places I dreamed of one day experiencing for myself. In this piece, I wanted to portray the cheetah in that quiet split second just before it takes off, balanced between stillness and explosion. Rather than depicting the chase itself, I was more interested in the anticipation of movement, because that moment feels powerful in its own way. The stance is natural and restrained, but you can feel the energy building beneath the surface. In many ways, this painting reflects where I am personally as an artist. It symbolizes stepping into a new direction creatively. standing at the edge of something unknown, preparing to move forward with greater purpose, vision, and momentum. The open horizon and dramatic sky were meant to reinforce that feeling of possibility and transition, almost like the beginning of a new chapter. For me, this piece is about more than wildlife. It's about potential, the moment before the leap, before acceleration, before everything changes." Jacob Corrie, 817-301-4218, jacob_corrie@yahoo.com, Booth#119.
