Original Gyotaku salmon painting, Lake Michigan silver (coho) salmon actual size in red sumi ink on rice paper. This is an original Gyotaku art work by Captain Jason Baldwin of Chicago IL. The fish are from Lake Michigan done actual size. This is the Gyotaku process, an old Japanese artform using ink for recording the catch of the day. The piece portrays fish caught in 2022 off of the shores of Chicago, IL. and represent the type of salmon you can catch in the Great Lakes.
